Bekool presents Marcus Kardos

Hungary’s electronic music scene has long been full of hidden architects: artists who shape sounds behind the scenes, often under different aliases, quietly influencing dancefloors far beyond their home country. Bekool's next guest, Marcus Kardos, is one of them.

Marcus's musical journey began when he was just three or four years old. Without any formal training, he would sit down at the piano in his family home and spontaneously create melodies and recognizable musical motifs. His natural talent soon caught his parents' attention, and at the age of seven, they enrolled him in music school. Following two years of preparatory studies, he chose to specialize in piano.

His dedication and musical abilities quickly earned him recognition. After completing his basic-level arts education, Marcus continued developing his skills at the Bartók Béla Music School in Szombathely, where he became one of the institution's most outstanding piano students. However, his musical interests soon expanded beyond the classical repertoire. At the age of thirteen, Marcus began experimenting with electronic music composition, discovering new possibilities for creativity and self-expression. By the time he was eighteen or nineteen, he had released his first original tracks, marking an important milestone in his development as an artist.

Today, Marcus draws on his knowledge of both piano and organ to create electronic music with a distinctive character. His compositions bring together the technical foundations of classical music and the creative freedom of modern production. With a strong emphasis on sound quality, he aims to create immersive and memorable musical experiences.

Alongside his artistic pursuits, Marcus is currently studying at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), where he is pursuing a teaching degree in Hungarian language and literature and music education. For Marcus Kardos, music remains a field of endless exploration, where classical traditions and contemporary electronic sounds come together to inspire new creative possibilities.
